Yay! We’ve arrived!
The flight was uneventful, although slightly more turbulent than the Dallas leg. We all slept the majority of the way right from Calgary, but are still pretty tired now.
I managed to surprise the girls with a stretch limo ride to the hotel and I’m sure we looked like hicks, sticking our heads out the window trying to get passing photos of various things that caught our attention.
The hotel so far is everything I hoped it would be. The room is decent sized, the beds so far are comfortable, the bathroom is big enough to move around in, and the view is pretty cool. We’re on the 26th floor. The only thing we’re all surprised by is our window actually opens fully (like, six feet high, three feet wide) and there’s no screen or security guard rail. Very discomfiting!
We removed Jessica’s stitches (filmed by Maggie for posterity…or whatever) and then decided we were too tired to explore tonight so we ordered room service and are now channel surfing. The girls want to watch 3rd Rock From the Sun but can’t seem to find it. Oh, well.
